This award winning module, now in version 2, deals with the building evacuation procedures for general staff, tenants and wardens in the event of emergencies.

The principal function of emergency procedures is to ensure that you are safe as well as any other staff, visitors or contractors on the premises.

The information in this module is designed to complement fire & emergency warden training and includes the basic information required for an emergency evacuation to take place even if fire & emergency warden training has not been undertaken.

Business Outcome

The organisation has a duty of care to its staff and any visitors the building. This general course has been designed in consultation with fire safety trainers and created for general staff (non-wardens) to ensure their safety in the event of a fire or other event leading to evacuation.

 

This course is designed to meet the requirements of the following Australian Standards:AS3745-2010, section 6.3.3 First-attack firefighting and section 6.4.1 Occupants working at a facility requirement and Sections 32,35,36 and 37 of the 2008 Queensland Building Fire Regulations.

  • What to do if there is an emergency, after hours
  • When lifts can and cannot be used
