Course Overview

Providing Performance Feedback gives managers the necessary tools to implement a systematic, fact-based approach to performance improvement through quality feedback. First, you’ll be introduced to the performance management process and where feedback fits in. You’ll then practice proper data gathering and focusing on observable behaviors and facts in giving feedback. Next, you’ll learn about keeping feedback S.M.A.R.T. (specific, measurable, attainable, results-oriented, and time-framed) in both written and verbal communication. Later in the course, you'll see a positive example video of a team leader having a successful feedback conversation. You'll then practice in scenario situations to gain comfort level and confidence in giving feedback on the job – both in formal and informal settings.
