The six-module course covers why safer recruitment is important, what the legislation says about safer recruitment, its impact on the key steps in the recruitment process (including preparation, shortlisting and interviewing, and checking of the selected candidate), and the need for ongoing vigilance in this area.
This course has been developed in line with the Department for Education’s Keeping Children Safe in Education Guidance (2015), which outlines the legal duties you are obliged to follow to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people under the age of 18 in schools and colleges. This course specifically looks at how to safely recruit staff who are working with children and prevent unsuitable people from being appointed.
On completion of the course, you will automatically get a certificate, containing your name, CPD hours, the date and learning objectives.
